Ill-health is unwelcome at any time of year but particularly over the holiday season. We know it’s easy for health to drop off your to-do list when you’re really busy, so we’ve put together this short guide to help you stay well this Easter.
All GP practices in Kirkcaldy will be closed on both Friday the 14th and Monday 17th of April so repeat prescription requests will take longer than normal as a result. Please check your stock of medication and contact the pharmacy to order what you need as soon as possible.
Dysart Pharmacy (and the Post office) will be closed on Monday 17th only and will open as normal on Good Friday 14th (9am-6pm) and Saturday 15th (9am-1pm).
We may be able to assist you if your repeat medicines run out during the out-of hours period.
NHS Minor Ailment Service
If you have a minor illness, a pharmacist can provide non-prescription medicines free of charge if you're eligible under theNHS Minor Ailment Service. Speak toour pharmacists Mark & Kevin for more information.
One way to be health-wise this Easter is to make sure you have some over the counter remedies for common seasonal illnesses in your medicine cabinet.
Things to have in your medicine cabinet include:
Remember that medicines go out of date, so don't overstock your medicine cabinet. Always follow the advice on the pack, and if your symptoms persist (or are severe) seek further advice.
Have a lovely Easter and don't eat too much chocolate (especially if you are diabetic)!
